NARFE Federal Benefits Institute presents
2024 Open Season Roundup: FEHB, FEDVIP, & FSA
Thursday, October 24, 2024, 2:00 p.m. ET

The Federal Benefits Open Season for the 2025 plan year will be held from November 11 through December 9, 2024. It is vital that federal employees and retirees understand their options during the upcoming annual Open Season.  Open Season is an opportunity for employees and retirees to shop and compare the various insurance plans and make decisions about their benefits under the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), and the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS).

Eligible employees can enroll, change plans or plan options, change enrollment type, or cancel their enrollment for FEDVIP and the FEHB Program. Employees can also re-enroll or newly enroll in the FSAFEDS Program. If employees and retirees take no action, their current enrollment in FEHB and/or FEDVIP will continue automatically. Employees and annuitants will be subject to any new changes in premiums, benefits, and service areas negotiated between OPM and the health insurance carrier.  Open Season provides employees and annuitants to choose the best plans for them, and this webinar will allow you to take advantage of this opportunity by learning about some of the new plan changes and gather information to make informed decisions about their benefit choices.

In addition, during this presentation we will discuss:

  • The dates of Open Season and the effective date of their valid Open Season change(s)

  • Descriptions of the FEHB, FEDVIP, and FSAFEDS Programs

  • What decisions they can/must make

  • New changes that they should be aware of the plan year

  • Tips for selecting a right plan for themselves and eligible family members

  • Where they can find additional information about the programs

Open Season is about exercising your right of choice.  Join us so that you can exercise your rights.
A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
